Raw Marinated Mushrooms (Raw, Vegan, Gluten-free)

Raw marinated mushrooms are good to go with avocado toasts, as a topping on salads or zoodles 😸Also, it’s so easy to make that I usually keep a jar of these in my fridge. This way, I can add them to my food whenever I feel like to ✌🏻

Ingredients:

8 ounce packaged brown button mushrooms

Marinate

1/4 cup tamari
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon nutritional yeast
1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped Italian parsley

Direction:

  1. Rub mushroom caps with kitchen papers to remove any dirts on them and slice the mushrooms into 1/4 inch thick
  2. Mix the marinates in a bowl until all ingredients combine together
  3. Place the sliced mushrooms into a clean plastic bag and pour the marinates onto the mushrooms
  4. Zeal the bag and shake vigorously
  5. Spread the marinated mushrooms all over the plastic bag evenly and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. The longer it sits, the more intense the taste is
  6. After 30 minutes, place the mushrooms into a glass jar and keep it in the fridge
